HIMACHAL PRADESH – THE SNOW LADEN PROVINCE

Himachal Pradesh is a northern state in India that sits above the province of Uttarakhand. The name was coined by a renowned Sanskrit scholar, Mr. Diwakar Datt Sharma, which translated to the Abode of the Snow. Sitting beneath the western stretches of the Himalayas, Himachal indeed serves justice to its name and commands some of the most breathtaking views of the stark snow-covered peaks.

THE LEAST CORRUPT STATE

The ambiance of Himachal isn't subjective to the fast-paced rat race. Comprising a majority of rural settlements scattered throughout the state, Himachal Pradesh is India's least corrupted state, which peacefully functions through the folds of time & welcomes every incoming tourist with open arms. A TIBETAN SOJOURN

Himachal is divided into three geographical districts, namely Shimla, Kullu & Kangra. Parts of Himachal Pradesh are highly influenced by Tibetan culture and cuisine. The upper Himachal language is a derivation of the Tibetan dialect. Their cuisine also comprises hot bowls of noodles & steamed dumplings that are perfect to be enjoyed in the cold weather of Himachal. The town of Dharamsala is home to 2nd largest residing Tibetan community in India and is home to His Holiness The Dalai Lama.
