The topography of Uttarakhand consists of three distinct topographical regions - The Himalayas, the rocky Bhabhar & the fertile Terai regions, all of which are equally thrilling regions to walk into & explore.
Since times immemorial, this state has enjoyed an immense religious significance owing to the presence of many important pilgrimage centers in the lap of the Himalayas. Uttarakhand is home to some of the most crucial pilgrimage sites in India, like Kedarnath, Gangotri, Haridwar, Gurudwara Nanakmatta Sahib, Piran Kaliyar Sharif and the Mindroling Monastery.
With rich reserves of flora & fauna and exceedingly hospitable inhabitants, this state dotted with a rich expanse of national parks, the most famous one being the Jim Corbett National Park. The state is home to exotic creatures like swamp alligators, leopards, jungle cats, chital, yellow-throated martens and much more.
